I'll Give You The Sun - Book Review

Alright, it's me again back with a book review, I'll Give You The Sun by the amazing Jandy Nelson.

At the very first I saw this book on Goodreads, I was like 'WHAT A TITLE' 'WHAT A BEAUTIFUL COVER' 'I MUST BUY IT' I saw mixed reviews about this book but I didn't care because I was already fallen for this book.

So I bought it at Periplus Bookstore, the price wasn't that expensive! I could only find the paperback version, a bit disappointed because the cover is orange based with black streaks, not like the hardcover which is so pretty and colorful.

So Jandy wrote this book from two perspectives, the twins, NoahandJude. But I still have no idea why she wrote it like in two different times/period/years. That made me wondering when a moment happens from only one perspective Noah/Jude, like WHAT IS HE/SHE THINKING ABOUT, WHY DOES HE/SHE DO IT. Because every moments of the book simply related to the twins.

But honestly, I didn't really catch the feels on the first half of the book because I was annoyed by Jude -no offense. She wasn't a great character at first and she got longer chapters than Noah, that's why. I think Noah was a really interesting character, the way he paints in his head, the invisible museum. And Jude was a mess, seriously.

But I was so emotional when I got to the second half of the book, exactly when Jude decided to make that sculpture. That was the start of the AMAZING in this book. I think everything got better and better after that part and I decided that I don't hate Jude. The fact is I was so teary because of his big love to her brother and her confessing her doings to him. Jude was amazing, after all.

And the problem in their family made this book way more interesting, how their mother's death impacted their lives right after. How they got separated and had the worst times. But they found something at the end, that made them found their paths crossed again, and I hope Jude is really remaking the world. :)

My rating is 4/5 stars.
